You can use QuickTime Player to record a video of your presentation:. Open your presentation in PowerPoint and resize the window to the size you want your video to be (i.e. 640x480 pixels, etc.). Select Slide ShowSet Up Show. Under Show type, choose Browsed by an individual (window), then click on OK. Start your Slide Show.
In QuickTime Player, choose FileNew Screen Recording. On the Screen Recording dialog, click the red button in the middle.
Drag your mouse to select the PowerPoint window. Click on Record. Run your slideshow. When you're finished, click on the square dot inside a circle on the OS X menu bar to stop QuickTime.
Save the video file. Brandwares - Advanced Office template services to the graphic design industry and select corporations. John Korchok, Production Manager [email protected].
Thanks John, that's an Ok solution. I am working with lecturers who tend to have little time and less technical skill than creative.
Also does that record narrations too? Can yoou set up the QT recorder to record inbuilt mic or USB mic input? Honestly it's a workaround and as such I'll be recommending they move to Keynote.
I'm more baffled by the removal of a feature. It's been there before surely?
I remember being able to export to a variety of video formats. As such i'm just confused and annoyed about features being removed from an 'upgrade'. I will happily add my voice to the discussion though.
Its counterintuitive. It will record everything in the presentation, including narrations, which PowerPoint 2011 was unable to do. I'm not sure about adding additional mike inputs while recording the presentation, I think it would be better to include all audio in the presentation itself.
Both PowerPoint 2008 and 2011 export only to QuickTime.mov format. There are no options to choose a different format. 2016 is a complete re-write of Office for Mac and as new updates come out, features are still being added back in.
That doesn't help much for all the users who upgraded thinking they were getting a better product, only to find it is less advanced. Brandwares - Advanced Office template services to the graphic design industry and select corporations. John Korchok, Production Manager [email protected].
